While you're getting ready to welcome another baby, one of the biggest questions can be:
“Who is going to look after my other children when I go into labour?”

​If you don't have family nearby, your support person needs to be with you, or you simply want the reassurance of having a dedicated person ready to step in, my sibling doula service is designed to give you one less thing to worry about.​I'm your on-call village for the big kids, I'm there when you need me, so you can focus on bringing your new baby into the world.​

What is a sibling doula?​

A sibling doula provides dedicated care for your older child or children while you are in labour or giving birth. My role isn't just to babysit. I'll get to know your children before your birth, learn their routines and personalities, and become a familiar face they know and trust. When the time comes, I'll step in and care for them while you focus on labour and your new baby.
That might mean:

• Coming to your home when labour begins

• Looking after your children while you head to hospital

• Keeping meals, naps and bedtime routines as normal as possible

• Playing, reading, crafting and keeping little ones happily occupied

• Providing cuddles, reassurance and emotional support

• Keeping you or your partner updated so you know they're happy and settled
   ​​The goal is simple: You get to focus on your birth without worrying about who is looking after your babies at home.​​
  
  The On-Call Sibling Doula ​
  This service works a little differently from booking a regular babysitter. The biggest part of what you're paying for isn't actually the hours I spend with your children. It's the time I reserve for you.​
  
  What does the on-call fee cover?
  ​From 38 weeks until your baby arrives, up to 42 weeks, I reserve my availability specifically for your family. That means I'm not simply saying, “I'll see if I'm free when you go into labour.” I'm actively keeping myself available.
  During your on-call period:

• One prenatal sibling planning visit

• 24/7 on-call availability from 38 weeks until baby arrives (42 weeks)

• Priority calendar availability

• Packed and ready-to-go response

• Travel to you when called

 ​Only one family each month
Because I want to provide this service properly and because I have my own family and existing postpartum clients, I only accept one on-call sibling doula family per month.
